Lelia Kendall

Lelia Mae Kendall of Festus, Missouri departed this life on August 27, 2013 at the Crystal Oaks Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty seven years and eight months. She was born on December 27, 1925 in Potosi, Missouri a daughter to the late John Eye and Sara (Kathkart) Eye.

In addition to her parents, Lelia was preceded in death by her husband Harry Kendall, four brothers Sloman Eye, Oval Eye, Elza Eye, Donald Eye and a sister Doris Fenstermaker.

Lelia attended the First Baptist Church of Arnold.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are three sons John Kendall and wife Christine of Desoto, Alan Kendall of Imperial, Mark Kendall and wife Marsha of Desoto; daughter Loretta Davis and husband Bill of Festus; three brothers Sammie Eye and wife Sara of Potosi, Wendell Eye and wife Janice of Potosi, Michael Eye and wife Bonnie of Potosi; three sisters Mildred Reed and husband Melvin of Potosi, Grace Vaughn of North Carolina, Norma Jane Wilkerson and husband Jack of Potosi; six grandchildren John, Jake, Julie, Mark, Gary, Jill; thirteen great grandchildren, John, Luke, Matthew, Kyle, Madison, Makayla, Laine, Leah, Zach, Clayton, Aren, Brian, Lila; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, August 31, 2013 at 10 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Paul Eye officiating and Rev. Melvin Reed assisting.

Interment and final prayers were held at the White Oak Grove Cemetery. Following the Committal Service the family returned to the White Oak Grove Baptist Church for a luncheon. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
