Lelia Blount

Lelia Helen Blount of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on November 26, 2006 at Potosi, Missouri, having reached the age of 63 years, 8 months and 8 days. She was born on March 18, 1943 at Cadet, Missouri, a daughter of the late Felix Ferd Courtois and Mary (Politte) Courtois.

In addition to her parents, Lelia was preceded in death by her son, Donald Blount, Jr.; three brothers, Herman Courtois, Lynn Courtois and Albert Courtois; two sisters, Hazel Coffman and Edna Nickelson.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her daughter, Donna Blount of Potosi; two sons, Jeff Blount and wife Lisa of Cadet, Dennis Blount and wife Tabitha of Hopewell; a sister Ada Sickmeir of West Plains; four grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 10 AM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Thomas Slovensky officiating. Serving as pallbearers were David Sickmeier, John Sickmeier, Joey Blount, Keith Wade, Jim Sickmeier and Wayne Nickelson . Serving as honorary pallbearers were D.J. Blount and Nick Melton.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi, Missouri.
