Lealla Hill of Potosi, Missouri, was born on August 11, 1938, in Mineral Point, Missouri, a daughter to the late John Vance and Mildred (Wilkerson) Vance. Lealla passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, having reached the age of eighty-three years, seven months, and twenty-nine days.
Those who are left behind to cherish her memory include her two sons: Bryce Derrick Hill, and Eric Matthew Hill (Tracey DeClue); grandchildren: Justin Hill, Josh Hill, Shanna Sykes, and Riley Hill; great-grandchildren: Peyton, Collin, Taylor, Bryant, Justyce, Jenna, Mason, and Vanessa; sister, Marcela Worley; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ruth Ann Hill, Judy Hill, Francis Vance, Arnold and Jeannette Vance. Also survived are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lealla was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Donald Hill; granddaughter, Krista Hill; siblings: Curtis Vance, Derwood Vance, Charlie Vance, Carl Vance, and Phyllis Vance; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Lealla was a kindhearted, gentle soul who loved cooking, baking, and sewing. She enjoyed gardening, growing vegetables, and tending to her flowers. She will be missed by many people!
A Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday, April 15th from 9 to 11 am.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 11 am, officiated by Elder Leonard Compton. Interment will follow at Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi.
