Lawrence Declue

Lawrence Albert DeClue of Piedmont, Missouri passed away on April 25, 2015 at the Winchester House in Chesterfield, Missouri, having reached the age of seventy nine years, six months, and twenty three days. He was born on October 2, 1935 in St. Louis, a son to the late Benjamin Gray DeClue and Lillian (Larson) DeClue. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his two sons: Daniel DeClue of Arnold, MO and John DeClue of St. Louis, MO; three daughters: Lisa Brady and husband Dan of Valparaiso, Indiana, Chrissy Holt and husband David of Imperial, MO, and Lari Laughin of Springfield, MO; two sisters Florence Asher of Cape Girardeau and Sara Lee Eye and husband Sam of Shirley, MO; fifteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife Madelen DeClue, son Larry Albert DeClue, Jr. and wife Bonnie DeClue; daughter Linda Harper and brother-in-law Larry Asher. Lawrence proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. from August 17, 1953 till August 16, 1956. During his service Lawrence received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Lawrence retired from a printing company in St. Louis and was a member of the Printers Local Union #505. Visitation for Lawrence will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the DeClue Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Eye officiating. Honoring Lawrence by serving as his pallbearers will be Jeremiah O'Day, Robert Bradley, Brian Holt, Jason Harper, Christopher Harper, and Steve Magana. Internment and final prayers will be held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
