Laura Ellen Robinett, of Irondale, Missouri departed this life on April 12, 2007 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, having reached the age of 59 years and 26 days. She was born at Potosi, Missouri on March 17, 1948, a daughter of the late Paul Franklin Politte and Laura Abageth Owens.
She was united in marriage to William Robinett on April 27, 1991 at Hopewell, Missouri. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Roy Gibson and Floyd Leon Gibson; three sisters, Ida Combs, Karen Sue Politte and Lillie Mae Benson.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her husband, William Robinett of Irondale; two daughters, Lisa Lavern Gamble-Terry of Desloge, Marilyn Wilson and husband Jan of Potosi; three step-daughters, Tammy Michell Ann Barton and husband Randy of Leadwood, Melinda (Missey) Granger and husband Brian of Caledonia; a step-son, William Travis Robinett and friend, Amanda Harper of St. Louis; five brothers, Olen Gibson of Steelville, Melvin Gibson and wife Loretta of Bonne Terre, Donald Gibson of Farmington, Alvin Gibson of Potosi, Paul Politte and friend Marilyn Dickey of Potosi; two sisters, Delores Kitchell and husband Vernon of Mineral Point, Marilyn Skaggs and husband Earl of Potosi; ten grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; uncles; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Lynn Thebeau officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Fehr, Joshua Trokey, Charley Hodges, Ian Wilson, Sean Wilson, Elijah Wilson and Travis Robinett.
Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
