Laura Ann McCarter of Farmington, Missouri, was born on October 24, 1963 in St Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Terry & Patricia Phelps. Laura passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, having reached the age of 59.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her daughter, Victoria Harvell (Fiancé, Matthew Nash), two grandchildren, longtime companion, Rick Thomas; and brother, Mike Phelps.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Everett McCarter.
Laura was a great mother, grandmother, friend, supporter, provider, and she always had your back. She would go out of her way for anybody, regardless if she knew them or not. She always tried to give whatever she could to others who were in need, including her last dollar. She was a planner for everybody's event, including a wedding. She never gave up and was a fighter. She had a great sense of humor, loved the Cardinals, loved listening to music and watching cooking shows, Disney movies, and Fox news. She was the glue that held everybody together. She was a big advocate of Victoria, always wanting the best for her. She also had a love for animals—cats and rabbits. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and always decorated over the top for it. She was a long-time member of True Life Family Church in Park Hills and enjoyed attending when she was able to.
A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington, Missouri.
DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have served the family of Ms. Laura McCarter.
