Laura Fitzgerald

Laura Irene Fitzgerald of Desoto, Missouri passed away May 15, 2009 having reached the age of eighty nine years, four months and four days. She was born on January 11, 1920 at Leadwood, Missouri, a daughter to the late William Jackson Hill and Pearl Ethel Dixon Hill.
On May 3, 1946, Laura was united in marriage to Forest Fitzgerald and they shared sixty years together. Mr. Fitzgerald preceded her on June 24, 2006.
In addition to her parents and husband, Laura was preceded in death by two brothers Glenwood Lindell Hill and Orin Leon Hill.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are a daughter June Casteel of Pevely; three sisters Juanita Fahey of Desoto, Glenda Anderson of Desloge, Wanda Gaston of Centralia, IL; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Greg McCord officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jarred Chapman, Mark Casteel, Rick Brown, Harvey Price, Herb Heier and Robert Price.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
