Larry Donald DeClue of Potosi, Missouri, was born on August 28, 1949 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son of the late Louis DeClue and the late Naomi (Hill) DeClue. Larry went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 having reached the age of seventy-one years, three months and four days.
Those who remain to celebrate his life include three children: Tommy John DeClue, Heather DeClue, and Tim DeClue; two step children: Ronnie Buckingham and wife Angie, and Melissa Arnold; two grandchildren: David DeClue and Emma DeClue; five step grandchildren: McKenna Wilbourn, Robbie Arnold, Victoria Adams and husband Taylor, Lane Buckingham and Reid Buckingham. Also surviving are five siblings: Jerry DeClue and wife Pam, Bob DeClue and wife Lynn, Elaine Barrett, Modessa Kennon and husband Gil, Karen Nething and friend Mark Pashia; sister-in-law, Linda DeClue; many nieces, nephews, church family and dear friends.
In addition to his father and mother, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie DeClue; and one brother, Rick DeClue.
Larry was a wonderful Christian man who loved the Lord. He was a faithful member of Potosi First Baptist Church where he enjoyed spending time working around the church doing anything that needed done within his capabilities. Larry had a strong work ethic and couldn’t sit for very long. He always kept busy doing something. Larry enjoyed wood working in his workshop. He liked mowing his grass and took great pride in his property. Larry’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 2 pm held at Potosi First Baptist Church,10479 State Hwy P, Potosi, MO 63664.
