Kenny Jackson

April 24, 1957 — January 18, 2009

Charles ?Kenny? Jackson, II of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on January 18, 2009 at the St. Joseph Health Center having reached the age of fifty one years, eight months and twenty five days. He was born on April 24, 1957 a son to Charles Kenneth Jackson and Rena Smith Jackson.

Kenny was united in marriage on January 21, 1983 to Pamela Evans and they shared almost twenty six years together. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a dear brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Kenny was a man of many talents. He had a passion for music and percussion was his gift. He played professionally, but mostly for fun. He had a great love for many genres of music ranging from gospel to rock and roll. He shared his gift of music with his children with the intentions for them to bring the joy of music to many people.

A nickname of ?Mr. Fix It? was given to Kenny. The man could virtually fix everything. He was a great carpenter, plumber, concrete finisher, cabinet maker, and electrician. Kenny was a proud owner of A/C and Appliance for ten years where he took on a wide verity of jobs. Also, he proved his skills by serving nearly ten years as a maintenance supervisor at Potosi Correctional Center.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are his wife Pamela Jackson of Potosi; father Charles Jackson and wife Gisela of Campbell; mother Rena Jackson of Campbell; two sons Charles Jackson III and fianc? Melissa Marshall of Park Hills; Odell Jackson and wife April of Bonne Terre; three daughters Melissa Jackson of Desloge, Sonya Jackson of Desloge, and Susan Jackson of Potosi; two sisters Ramona Buchanan and husband Martin of Malden; Thelma Phillips and husband James of Georgia; half brother Michael Jackson of Campbell; two grandchildren Odell Jackson II and Jaiden Jackson; mother in law Pat Evans; sister in law and brother in law Beverly and Dean Morris of Pevely; sister in law Deborah Patrick of Cuba; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 1 PM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. J. Scott Meeks officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kalvin Vivian, Gary Dickinson, Paul Barnard, Tom Brewer, Bob McMahan and Paul Matlock.

Interment and final prayers were held at Shoal Creek Cemetery in Steelville. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
