Kenneth Wilkinson

Kenneth Michael Wilkinson of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 1, 2007 at Boss, Missouri, having reached the age of 48 years, 3 months and 9 days. He was born in Springtown, Missouri on April 23, 1959, a son of Ruth Mildred (Bowen) Wilkinson and the late Kenneth Emanuel Wilkinson.

On June 14, 1980, he was united in marriage to Eugenia Swaringim at Glover, Missouri. Three sons were born to that union. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a dear brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved to hunt and spend time with his family.

In addition to his father, Kenny was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Nelson, Donna Wilkinson, Yvonne Wilkinson, Sandra Wilkinson; and a brother, Emanuel Wilkinson.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife, Eugenia Wilkinson of Potosi; his mother, Ruth Wilkinson of Potosi; three sons, Emanuel Wilkinson and wife Candace of Potosi, Michael Wilkinson and wife Maegan of Potosi, Kenneth Wilkinson and girlfriend, Amy DeClue of Potosi; three brothers, Ernest Wilkinson and wife Debra of Potosi, Luther Wilkinson and wife Marsha of Caledonia, Timothy Wilkinson and wife Sherry of Potosi; three sisters, Violet Strange of Mineral Point, Patricia Ney of Mineral Point, Kathy Halbert and husband Jeff of Caledonia; three grandchildren, Jacob Wilkinson, Christopher Wilkinson and Payton Wilkinson; nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; uncles; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 10 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Jim Wade and Rev. Steve Campbell. Serving as pallbearers were Kenny Wilkinson, Sambo Swaringim, Shermy Leswis, Robert Reed, Paul Swaringim, Seth Gibson, Mike Griffen, Johnny Wise and Kenneth Tiefenauer.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
