Kenneth Hamby

Kenneth Ray Hamby of Cadet, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his home. Kenneth was born on April 26, 1945 in Cadet, a son of the late Luther William Hamby and the late Rose Ellen (Barton) Hamby. On September 5, 1964, Kenneth was united in marriage to Katheyrn Tedder and three children were born to this union.

Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife, Katheyrn Hamby; one daughter, Sherry Hamby-Vance and husband Dane; two sons: Kenny Ray Hamby and wife Deanna, Scott Hamby and Robin Hayes; seven grandchildren: HaileyChilders and husband Chris, Kaila Vance, Michael Vance, Wesley Hamby and Fiancé Allison Glaser, Molly Hamby, Gregory Hamby and Fiona Hamby; two great grandchildren: Sawyer and Braxton Childers; one brother, Paul "Pete" Hamby; three sisters: Beulah DeClue, Mary Christopher and Kathy Jarvis and husband Jim; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to Kenneth's parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers: Luther Hamby Jr., Bobby Hambey, Vernon Hamby, Ronald Hamby, Orville Hamby, Walter Hamby and Dannie Hamby; six sisters: Norma Jean Hamby, Velma Hamby, Verna Crocker, Loretta Brewer, Annetta Drake and Dorothy Mosier.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 4:30-8:00 PM and Saturday, March 23, from 9:00-10:00 AM at the DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, MO. 63664

A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM held at the DeClue Chapel with Pastor Claude Evans officiating. Interment and final prayers were held at Jarvis Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.
