Kenneth Davis

Kenneth Ray Davis of Potosi, Missouri, went to his Heavenly Home on May 17, 2019 having reached the age of 81 years, 8 months and 20 days. Kenny was born on August 28, 1937 in Gladden, Missouri, a son of the late Rev. Luther Vernon Davis and the late Pauline Alice (Wells) Davis. On February 2, 1957, Kenny was united in marriage to Shirley Lorraine Glore and they shared 62 years together.

Kenny is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Davis of Potosi, MO.; two daughters: Vanessa Upchurch and husband Mark of Potosi, Kimberly Gibson and husband Mike of Potosi; two sons: Gregory Davis and wife Rev. Rhonda of Potosi, Barry Davis of Potosi; ten grandchildren: Stephanie Chytla and husband Pete, Nicholas Compton and wife Teresa, Ryan McCourtney and wife Kristin, Mark Upchurch, Jr., Matt Upchurch and wife Amanda, John Upchurch and wife Jaime, Amanda Farris and husband Greg, Stephanie Randell and husband Justin, Dina Boyer and husband Jason, Trina Doss and husband Tommy; twenty-three great grandchildren: Colin, Arianna, Brodey, Caleb, Corbin, Catherine, Chase, Grace, Mark III, Cody, Julia, Sophia, Taylor, Makayla, Carter, Lizzie Mae, Justin, Alexis, Kaleb, Brooklyn, Madilyn, Jaycee and Erica; nine siblings: Paula and Rev. Tom Fortner of Norwood, MO., Lora and Rev. Lynn Stroup of St. Clair, MO., Brenda and Norman Fatchett of Irondale, MO., Rev. John and Debbie Davis of Branson, MO., Rev. Mickey Davis of Potosi, MO., Rev. Paul and Peggy Davis of Boss, MO., Sonjia and Rev. Donald Dement of Potosi, MO., Randy and Shelly Davis of Potosi, MO., Sheila and Scott Hill of Manchester, MO., sister-in-law: Peggy Glore of Florida; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Luther Vernon and Pauline Davis; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Leo Dewey Glore and Eula Viola (Brand) Glore; grandson, Gregory Seth McCourtney; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tammy Adams Davis, Ferlin and Ouita Glore, Bobby Gerald Glore, Nelma and Tune Coleman, Verla and Frank Dee, Teddy “Darrell” Glore and Toney “Wayne” Glore.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 4-8 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, May 20, from 9-11 AM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 11 AM held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Rev. Lynn Stroup will officiate, assisted by Rev. Mickey Davis. Interment will follow in the Redbud Memorial Gardens. Honoring Kenny by serving as Pallbearers will be Nicholas Compton, Ryan McCourtney, John Davis, Mickey Davis, Paul Davis and Randy Davis. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Clarence Delbert Bliss.
