Kenneth Leon Carl of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 3, 2012 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital having reached the age of seventy years, five months and fourteen days. He was born on March 20, 1942 in Courtois, Missouri a son to the late Percy Carl and Lydia (Crocker) Carl.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a daughter Lydia Carl Cash.
Kenneth served in the United States Air Force from 1960 – 1964.
On October 19, 1965, Kenneth was united in marriage to Joyce Lowery and they shared forty six years together.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Joyce Carl of Potosi; three sons Kenneth Leon Carl II of Louisiana; Michael Sean Carl of St. Louis; Christopher Kendall (Mary Pat) Carl of St. Louis; brother Donnie Carl of Potosi; six grandchildren Dustin Cash, Andrew Cash, Dylan Carl, Molly Carl, Margaret Carl, John Carl; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Gary Mathes officiating. Military honors were presented by Local VFW Post #6996 in honor of Kenneth's service to our country.
Interment and final prayers were held at Gresham Cemetery, Carter County, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
