Katherine Warden

Katherine Mae Warden of Steelville, Missouri departed this life on July 26, 2007 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri, having reached the age of 89 years and 5 days. She was born at Shirley, Missouri on July 21, 1918, a daughter of the late Edmond Yount and Fannie May Gibson Yount.

She was united in marriage to William Thomas Warden on September 26, 1934 and two children were born to that union. Mr. Warden preceded her in death on May 22, 1993. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Warden Kessel; a brother, Charles Yount; and a grandson, William Joseph Warden.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved her family and her church. She was baptized at the Holy Cross Luthern Church of St. Louis, Missouri.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her son, Edward Warden and wife, Barbara of St. Louis; a brother, Albert Yount of Potosi; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
