Karen White

September 24, 1943 — March 6, 2009

Karen Gale White of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on March 6, 2009 at the Camelot Nursing Home having reached the age of sixty five years, five months and ten days. She was born on September 24, 1943 at Caledonia, Missouri a daughter to the late Cruise Shelton and Marion Eggers Shelton.

On August 14, 1960, Karen was united in marriage to Paul W. White and they shared forty eight years together.

Karen was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was proud to be called a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and traveling with her family. She professed a Faith in God at an early age and was a member of the Bismarck First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father in law Calvin T. Tullock; mother in law Lelia M. Tullock; brothers in law Robert A. Warden; Pete Wilcut, sister-in-law Norma Crocker; and a step brother in law Thomas K. Tullock.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are her husband Paul W. White of Belgrade; daughter Anita Diane Counts and husband Stanley of Bismarck; son Paul David White and wife Lisa of Jackson; four grandchildren Andrea Michelle Counts; Anthony J. (A.J.) Counts; Victoria Lynne Counts and Kenton A. White; two sisters Gloria M. Warden of Irondale; Mary L. Cyr of St. Louis; three brothers Barry Dean Shelton and wife Sandy of Potosi; Bobby D. Shelton and wife Leslie of Leadwood; Emory L. Shelton and wife Connie of Ellington; Karen?s ?Extra Kids and Grandchildren as she called them Bryan, Ryan, Vic, Patti, Leslie, Nick, Matt and Justin; sisters in law Ruth Gilliam and husband Gene of Belgrade; Jean Laramore and husband Myron of Belgrade; June Tullock of Downer?s Grove, Il; Wanda Webb and husband Sid of South Carolina; Irene Wilcut; brother in law John White of Jefferson City; many nieces; nephews; cousins and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel with Pastor Myron Laramore officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Nicholas Knowles, Matthew Jackson, Ryan Cantrell, Brian Warden, Bryan Quinton, Damon Warden, Phillip Warden and Vic Shelton.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
