Karen Dianne Lawson was born on January 4, 1945 at Hazel Creek, Missouri to Fred Owens and Myrtle (Goodson) Owens. On August 16, 1997 Karen was united in marriage to William Glenn Lawson and they shared 24 years of life together. Karen, along with Glenn, attended the Potosi Kingdom Hall. She was baptized in 1974. Karen loved her family so much. She enjoyed being outdoors, from tending to her flower beds to watching the birds. Karen was fond of beautiful antiques and was always up for going to antique stores. She also enjoyed taking drives with Glenn. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Karen departed this life on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Barnes Hospital having reached the age of 77 years, 2 months, and 14 days.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Glenn Lawson; four children: Theresa Rowan (husband, Doug), Donnie Scott, Connie Lange (husband, Travis), and Jason Scott; step son: Glenn Lawson II (wife, Susan); step daughter: Romellice Frazer; seven grandchildren: Ashley Scott, Heather King (Eric), Mariah Rowan, Devon Scott (Ciara), Bailey Novak (Jeremy), Austin Rector, Brennon Todt; four great grandchildren: Gabriel, Juniper, Iris, Oaklyn; one sister, Darlene Gallaher. Karen is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her father and mother, Karen was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Donald Scott; two grandchildren: Ariell Todt and Ethan Otte; siblings: infant sister, Hilda, Helen Ives, Hazel Barth, Sam Owens, Ethel Burch, Juanita Barber, and Derhonda Smith.
A private Graveside Service will be held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
