Julia Shaw

Julia Joann Shaw of St. Louis, Missouri departed this life on October 5, 2016 at the St. Luke’s Hospital having reached the age of seventy eight years, one month, and twenty nine days. She was born on August 6, 1938, in Belgrade, Missouri, a daughter to the late Clyde Clarence Kelly and the late Fronia Evelyn (Vaughn) Kelly. On October 8, 1957, Julia was united in marriage to Norton Shaw in St. Louis, Missouri.

Julia is survived by her beloved husband, Norton Shaw of St. Louis; son, Stephen Shaw and wife Tammy of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Kelly Simunovich and husband Peter of Wildwood; sister, Doris Jane Hazelwood and husband Jim of Perry; two grandchildren, Wilson Shaw and Fallon Shaw; and also surviving are many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her brother, Murphy G. Kelly; and half-sister, Nola Belle Kelly.

Visitation for Julia will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 10:30 AM. A funeral service will commence at 11:30 AM, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Refreshments following the internment will be held at Whispering Pines Apartment Club House located at 12545 Markaire Drive, St Louis, MO 63146.
