Joyce (Lowe) Hartupee

In the early morning hours of July 2, 2017 Joyce left this world. She will be reuniting with her husband Jim, her dear daughter Dianne, her granddaughters Carrie and Madelyn, her twin brother Jerry, brothers Bud, Jack, Richard and Danny and her sister Bernice. They will all celebrate being together healthy once again.
Joyce recently lived in St. Charles being well-cared for at NHC Healthcare where she won the hearts of the staff with her smile and good-natured kidding. Before finally succumbing to Parkinson’s disease, Joyce was also cared for by the friendly staff of Caris Hospice.

Previously Joyce lived in Cuba Mo after retiring from Western Union in Bridgeton MO with 30 years of service. During those 30 years, Joyce lived in several places throughout St. Charles County and in each place she put in at least one new beautiful flower bed and befriended at least one stray cat.

Joyce began life August 21, 1931 in the Des Arc, Mo, growing up in Potosi as the 4th child of James and Gladys Brooks Lowe.

Joyce’s son Ed, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchild, her sisters Ruth Ann and Jeanie and her brother John as well as other family and friends are comforted knowing Joyce is no longer in pain and she is healthy and whole in a much better place.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 3 p.m. Elder Leonard Compton will officiate.
