Joseph O. Zettler, a loving husband, dad, grandpa and brother, went to his Heavenly Home on Friday, May 24, 2024 from the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family at the age of 66. Joe as many knew him by, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 6, 1957, a son of the late Roy Samuel Zettler and Rita Josephine Brown.
Those who remain to treasure his memory include his devoted wife, Nancy Zettler; three children: Misty Cain (husband, Eric), Melissa Heape (husband, Josh), and Lee Zettler; four grandchildren: Abbi, Jayden, Madison, and Emily; six siblings: Bill and Belinda Zettler, Mike and Tammy Rice, Jack Fincher and Tammy, Susie and Gene Coleman, Loretta and Gary Dickinson, and Milburn Fincher; and sister-in-law, Joyce Zettler. Joe will also be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his father Roy Zettler and mother, Rita (Brown) Fincher; daughter-in-law, Lisa Zettler; three brothers: James, John, and Larry Zettler; and his mother-in-law, Elnora Jones Fowler. Joe was also united with two of his pastors whom he revered, Davey Welker and James Pashia.
In remembering Joe and the legacy he left, the family invites those who knew and loved him to join them for a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 2 p.m. held at DeClue Funeral Home. Pastor Rob Hampton will be officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at New Diggins Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
