Joseph Portell

Joseph Roussan Portell of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on November 4, 2011 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of seventy seven years, three months and twenty five days. He was born on July 10, 1934 at Cadet, Missouri a son to the late Joseph O. Portell and Ida M. (Politte) Portell.

Joseph was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Desoto, Missouri. Joseph loved his family and friends very dearly.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a sister Anna Marie Robart, brother Milton Paul Portell, infant brothers Everett James Portell and Simon Portell; brothers in law Ray Cavin and Orvill Bone.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his three sisters Elizabeth Bone of Desoto; Mary Rose Cavin of Potosi; Sylvia Bayless and husband Allen of Potosi; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

A Memorial prayer service was held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 6 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Father Ted Pieper.

Interment and final prayers were held Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10 AM at the St. Joachim Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
