Joseph Gillam

Joseph Hardy Gillam was born on May 31, 1963 in Festus, Missouri a son to the late Edgar L. Gilliam I and Betty Jo (Nickelson) Gillam. Joseph passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his residence having reached the age of fifty-five years and twenty-six days. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Gillam II, and grandson, Perry Parker.

Joseph will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife, Cynthia Gillam née Borjas; three children: Amanda (Fiancé, John Brown) Gillam, Ashley (Timothy) Battreal, and Grace Vandoran; step-children: Crystal Borjas, Kenny Bell, Jr., and Brandy Bell; siblings: Linda (Lennis) Mayo, Brenda J. Miller - Stemmler, Dennis (Rose) Gillam, MI, and Cindy (Tim) Davidson; seven grandchildren: Addison, Daniel, Lane, Madison, Jaxston, Darren, and Dennis; one step-grandson, Julian; and several dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation for Joseph will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018, beginning at 1:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Dennis Gillam officiating.
