Josefina Najera of Barnhart, Missouri, was born on August 17, 1938 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Cecilio Yulfo Acevedo and Georgina Badillo Gonzales. Josefina passed away on November 5, 2023, having reached the age of 85.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her husband of 64 years, Juan Najera; children: Patricia Fisher, Nayda and Chuck Moss, Annabel and Niranjan Siva, Juan and Janet Najera, Rosario and Nyk Edinger, Yolanda and Sean Mallonee, Alejandro and Karra Najera, and Ellen Najera; grandchildren: Robert Fisher, Angela and Sam Puckett, Shawn Najera, Raven and Aaron Porter, Luis and Lysvette Rodriguez, Brandy and Jason Andrews, Che Gott and Jesse Roberts, Rosie and Ramon Sotomayor, Killian and Sarah Edinger, Adrick Edinger, Sean Mallonee, Domenico Najera, Mirabella Najera, Karolina Najera; 21 great grandchildren; and sister: Hilda and Heriberto Calderon. In addition to her parents, Josefina was preceded in death by her siblings: Jorge Yulfo, Carlos Vega, and Luis R “Chin” Yulfo.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 11, 2023 11 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Service at 1 p.m., held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E High St, Potosi, MO 63664. Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate Josefina’s service.
