Johnny Hedrick

Johnny R. Hedrick of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on September 17, 2006 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 69 years, 2 months and 30 days. He was born on June 18, 1937 at Boss, Missouri a son of the late Joseph S. Hedrick and Cora B. (Kathcart) Hedrick.

On December 11, 1960 he married his sweetheart, Norma Politte in Illinois, and nine children were born to this union. They shared almost forty-six years together. Johnny was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by seven brothers, Dorman Hedrick, Cecil Hedrick, Clyde Hedrick, Orville Hedrick, Raymond Hedrick, Curtis Hedrick and Harvey Hedrick; and two sisters, Lily Hurley and Geneva Kriegbaum.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife, Norma Hedrick; his daughters, Nancy Grant and husband Richard of Potosi, Kim Adams and husband Darrell of Mineral Point, Lisa Ward and husband Stacy of Mineral Point, Melissa Hedrick of Mineral Point; his sons, Jeff Hedrick of Mineral Point, Terry Hedrick of Mineral Point, Johnny Lee Hedrick of Mineral Point, Andy Hedrick of Mineral Point, Adam Hedrick of Mineral Point; a brother, Thomas Hedrick of East Cape, IL; two sisters, Edith Yarbrough of Arizona and Bonnie Bohannon of Piedmont; Seventeen grandchildren; one great grandchild; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 11 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Bobby Adams and Rev. Robert Thurman officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Brian Breakfield, Doug Skaggs, Eric Dunn, Richard Grant, Jr., Shawn Hedrick and Jeffery Hedrick.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
