John Wayne Walton of Belgrade, Missouri was born on June 17, 1951 in Ironton, Missouri, a son to the late John Joseph Walton and the late Vivian (Compton) Walton. John entered eternal rest on Friday, June 30, 2017 at his residence having reached the age of sixty-six years and thirteen days.
John will be missed by all who loved and knew him including his four siblings: Terry Walton and wife Candy of Farmington; Linda Nickelson of Potosi; Lulu Daugherty and husband Jim of Potosi; Tim Walton and wife Kim of Potosi; also surviving are many nieces; nephews and three special friends Dennis Yount, Paul Dodd and Delinda Blanford who were by Johns side until his passing.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Bryan John Walton; brother, Dan "Moon" Walton; uncle and aunt: Bob and Pete Palmer and nephew, Michael Walton.
John led a simple life. He loved his family very much and cherished the time that he spent with them. John enjoyed trucking and Cardinals Baseball.
The family received friends on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 4:30-8 p.m. at and Monday, July 3, from 9-11 a.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements for John during this time of remembrance.
