John Turntine

John Lee Turntine of Irondale, Missouri departed this life on September 9, 2008 at Des Peres Hospital, having reached the age of 61 years 9 months and 28 days. He was born on November 12, 1946 at St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late John W. Turntine and Dorothy Skaggs Turntine.
He was united in marriage on October 30, 1965 to Linda Schrum and they shared almost 43 years together. John served with Honorable Service in the U.S. Army and he was discharged on December 14, 1968.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son John Lynn Turntine and a brother Ricky Turntine.
Those who remain to mourn his life include his wife Linda Turntine; daughters Shelly Rodgers and husband Malcom of Irondale; Amy Kay and Shawn Johnson of Stoney Point; son Jason Turntine of Irondale; 9 grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
A gravesite service was conducted on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11 AM at the Schrum Cemetery of Irondale with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
