John Pruett

John Harris Pruett, Sr. of Imperial, Missouri passed away on January 5, 2016 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital having reached the age of sixty four years and twenty one days. He was born on December 15, 1951 in Clarkton, Missouri, a son to the late John Edmond Pruett and Sarah Elizabeth (Babb) Pruett.

John is survived by his son John Pruett, Jr. and wife Sarah of Imperial; three step sons: Ricky Sitzes and wife Christine of St. John, Missouri, Leonard Sitzes of Marthasville, Missouri, and Terry Wayne Sitzes of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter Crystal Brown of Colorado; three step daughters: Myra Joglar of Marthasville, Missouri, Carol Baker of Phoenix, Arizona, and Anita Studdard of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; four brothers: John Edmond "Sonny" Pruett and wife Delaine of Patterson, Missouri, Ben Pruett and wife Kim of Arnold, Missouri, Steve Pruett of Patterson, Missouri, and Tony Pruett and wife Margie of Patterson, Missouri; sister Clara White of Patterson, Missouri; and also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife Jodie Geraldine Pruett; sister Lillie Lorrane Pruett; step sons: Fredrick Sitzes, Sr., Bobby Sitzes, Ronald Studdard, Sr., and Harvey Studdard; and step daughter Delphina Evans.

Visitation for John was held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM.

Funeral services were conducted at the DeClue Memorial Chapel at 12:00 PM on Friday, with Rev. Robert Sterling officiating.

Honoring John by serving as his pallbearers will be Lacie M. Pruett, Crystal Brown, Cherie Cochran, Tiffany Allen, Elizabeth Cantrell, and Kristan Cantrell.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Shoal Creek Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
