John Jones

John Calvin Jones, Jr. of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on July 2, 2012 at the St. Lukes Hospital having reached the age of sixty nine years, one month and fourteen days. He was born on May 18, 1943 in Farmington, Missouri a son to the late John C. Jones, Sr. and Melba (Cook) Jones.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother Charles Jones, sister Nelda Kelley and a grandchild Dashaun Johnson.
On October 10, 1964, John was united in marriage to Loretta Jarvis and they shared forty seven years together.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Loretta Jones of Mineral Point; two daughters Jenifer (Tony) Missey of Mineral Point; Jina (David) Johnson of McAllen, TX; son Chris Jones of Mineral Point; two sisters Mary Ruth (Donald) Smith of Arizona; Joyce (Stan) Stratman of St. Ann, Missouri; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11 Am at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Loretta Jones, Jenifer Missey, Tony Missey, Jina Johnson, David Johnson, Chris Jones, David Johnson Jr. and Nathan Missey. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Julia, Gwendolyn, Ebony, Madilynn and Javonte.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Hopewell Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
