John Fox

John Eugene Fox of Festus, Missouri departed this life on April 18, 2014 at the St. Anthony's Medical Center having reached age of seventy eight years, one month and twelve days. He was born on March 6, 1936 in Centerville, Missouri a son to the late Walter E. Fox and Udell (Whited) Fox.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by a brother Henry Fox and a Cousin Susan Madden.
On October 31, 1959, Gene was united in marriage to Gladys Wanda Davis and they shared fifty four years together.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Gladys Wanda Fox of Festus; four sons Randolph Fox and wife Becky of Texas, Michael Fox and wife Suzanne of New Florence, Missouri, Mitchell Fox and wife Karen of Ware, Missouri, John Fox and wife Brenda of Imperial; one daughter Donna Fox of Florissant, two cousins Harry Fox, Irene and Roy Peck; grandchildren P.J. Fox, Jr., Michael Fox Jr. and wife Megan, April Davis and husband James, Kristina Fox, Mitchel Fox, Jr., Jacob Fox; great grandchildren Tyler Puder, Melanie Fox, Morgan Fox, Madison Fox; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Pastor Paul Patterson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Mitchell Fox, Jr., James Large, John Fox Jr., Mitchell Fox Sr., Michael Fox Jr. and Kenny Suiter. Honorary pallbearer was Michael Fox Sr.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Upper Glover Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
