John Dunn

John Richard Dunn of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at his residence having reached the age of eighty years, six months and thirty days. He was born on January 24, 1936 at Carver Creek, Missouri. John was a son to the late John Henry Dunn and the late Ethel E. (Cowin) Dunn.
John was united in marriage to Rita Barron on April 14, 1959 and two children were born to this union.

Survivors include two sons Eric Dunn of Mineral Point and Gary Dale Dunn and friend Sissy Boyster of Potosi; one brother Benny Dunn and wife Margaret of Potosi; four sisters Delores Lawson of Farmington, Gloridean Henson of Potosi, Helen Francis of Farmington, Marilyn Kennedy of Park Hills; brother-in-law Jim LaPlante; four grandchildren Kayla Warden and husband Daniel, Nick Dunn and Amber McClintock, Little Eric Dunn, Tyler Shane Dunn; six great grandchildren Chesney Dunn, Trenton Dunn, Lane Warden, Skyler Warden, Devin Warden and Dalton Farris; two daughters by heart Karen Johnston and Breanna Dunn; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by three brothers Jack, Gene and Donnie Dunn and one sister Sherre LaPlante.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home. A funeral service began at 7:00 PM on Saturday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Wade officiating. John received full military honors by the United States Army and Local VFW Post 6996.
