John Arnett

John Paul Arnett of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on February 13, 2010 at the NHC Healthcare Nursing Home having reached the age of seventy years, eight months and sixteen days. He was born on May 28, 1939 at Vineland, Missouri a son to the late James Arnett and Myrtle (Sloan) Arnett.

On November 7, 1970, John was united in marriage to Donna Joann Jinkerson and they shared almost forty years together.

John was a member of the Belgrade Liberty Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers Galen Hughes, Freddie Osten; sister Lola Watson; daughter in law Stacey Arnett; two grandchildren Kelsey Arnett and Baby James Arnett.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are wife Donna Arnett of Belgrade; four sons John Arnett, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Desoto; Donald Arnett of Belgrade; Mark King of Desoto; Rodney King and wife Eleanor of Desoto; two sisters Florence Taylor of Illinois; Mary Nyga of Arnold; two brothers Jim Arnett of Desoto; Milton Osten and wife Shirley of California; eight grandchildren Donny Arnett, Jr.; Jonathan Arnett; Travis Arnett; Ashley Schuenemeyer and husband David; Megan King; Brandon King; Taylor Smith; Emily Settlemoir; two great grandchildren Zachary Schuenemeyer and Jacob Schuenemeyer; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on February 17, 2010 at 11 AM at the Liberty Baptist Church in Belgrade with Rev. Tom Conboy officiating. Serving as pallbearers were John Arnett, Jr., Mike Sparks, Rodney King, Brandon King, Chris Young and Donny Arnett, Jr..

Interment and final prayers were held at Liberty Baptist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
