Joann Puckett of Potosi, Missouri, was born on December 4, 1946, in Newport, Arkansas, a daughter of the late George Bradley and the late Alice (Winemiller) Bradley. Joann went to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 6, 2022, having reached the age of 75.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her loving and devoted husband, John Puckett; two children: Tiffany Puckett, and John Puckett (wife, Amy Juhl); siblings: Dwight Bradley (wife, Elwanda), Janelle “Joan” McElroy (husband, Jerry), Lana Joshlin, and David, Cora Durham (husband, LN); sister-in-law, Virginia Bradley; special aunt, Sharon Puckett; and special cousin, Linda Cook. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Georgia Diane Puckett; siblings: Rufus Brandley and Sandra Mann; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edgar and Georgia Puckett; brother-in-law: Eddie Mann; special uncle, Bob Puckett.
Joann began her teaching career around 1969 at Potosi R-3 School District. After moving to Potosi for a teaching job, she met the love of her life, Edgar John Puckett at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church. They were later married on June 24, 1972, and shared 50 years together. During her approximate 22 years of service to Potosi School District, Joann taught third grade and special needs students. Joann loved her students. Through the years, Joann has attended the Church of Christ in Swifton, Arkansas, Pleasant Hill Christian Church, and most recently, Potosi Church of Christ. Joann loved gardening. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family, camping, and traveling with John to tractor shows.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 12 pm until the time of her Funeral Service at 2 pm, at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E High St, Potosi, Missouri, 63664. Pastor Tim Glasshoff will officiate her service. Interment and final prayers will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri.
