Joann Politte

July 13, 1946 — April 10, 2010

JoAnn Marie Politte of Cadet, Missouri departed this life April 10, 2010 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of sixty three years, eight months and twenty eight days. She was born on July 13, 1946 at Cadet, Missouri a daughter to the late Frank Richards and Emma (Chandler) Richards.

On May 22, 1965, JoAnn was united in marriage to Herman Politte and they shared forty four years together.

JoAnn worked for Home Health for twenty four years. She loved the people she cared for. Some people called them clients, but to her they were her friends.

Jo was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. There was nothing more important to her as her family. She and Herman loved having BBQ?s with all the kids and grandkids there. That was considered a perfect day for them.

Some of her hobbies were taking day trips around the area and eating out, working outdoors in her flower garden (she loved all kinds of flowers) and decorating for the holidays (her favorite being Christmas). It was such a special time for their family. Especially the grandkids running around the house, everyone talking, laughing and having a big dinner. Nothing meant more to Jo than Herman, her kids and grandkids.

Jo was the best cook. She learned how to cook by helping her mother when she was young. She still made the best biscuits her momma taught her how to make and no meal was complete without them.

Jo was a Christian woman and was a member of the Potosi Southern Baptist Church. She loved God and taught her children the same. She lost her sister, her mother and father but she knew she would see them again in Heaven. The time has come and she has been united with her family.

We will always love and miss you here on earth, but we know you are rejoicing with God and your family. As the song goes ?Go Rest High On That Mountain?. Until we meet you there, we will love and remember you forever.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Richards.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Herman Politte of Cadet; two daughters Angie Gilmore and husband Cecil of Cadet; Crystal Wilson and husband Danny of Cadet; two sons Keith Politte and wife Tracy of Terre Du Lac; Mike Politte and fianc? Heather Yarbrough of Potosi; five sisters in law Vergie Welker and husband Dale of Berryman; Leoma Shepard of Mineral Point; Belle Pennington and husband Ennis of Potosi; Cat Buckley and husband Dave of Belgrade; Annie Fenstermaker and husband Dave of Potosi; brother in law Gary Politte of Potosi; eight grandchildren Cecil Gilmore, jr., Heather Politte, Dylan Politte, Dalton Politte, Katlyn Wilson, Logan Wilson, Emma Wilson and Landon Politte; many other relatives and friend who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Funeral Home with Rev. H. Wayne Isgriggs and Rev. Johnny Emily officiating.
