Joann Emily-Breier

Jo Ann Emily-Breier of Potosi, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 having reached the age of sixty-six. Jo Ann was born on December 1, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter to Anna (Bray) Emily and the late Joseph Emily. On February 28, 1984, Jo Ann was united in marriage to Terry Breier and they shared thirty-five years together.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Breier; son, Jesse Cooley and Jamie Reynolds; granddaughter, Hayley Cooley; great granddaughter, Amaya Robinson; mother, Anna Emily; brother, Ronald (Eyvonne) Emily; two sisters: Kimmerly Hensley and Lori Long; Melinda Marler; nieces and nephews: Melissa Ward, Tracey Emily, RJ Emily, Anna Guevara, Brittany Hensley, Jerad Marler, Emily Middleton; also surviving are great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Emily.

Jo Ann was a beloved woman with many titles including daughter, wife, mother, sister, Aunt Jo Jo, caregiver and friend. She had such a generous and caring soul, combined with a selfless heart. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, and especially loved family gatherings and cooking. Jo Ann had a deep faith and a love for God and shared this spirit with all those around her.

Jo Ann worked at the St. Francois County Board for the Developmentally Disabled for years. She cared for all those around her with such a passion and did so in a completely selfless manner.

Jo Ann enjoyed painting, drawing, crafting and making floral arrangements. She had a love for antiques and victorian decor. Jo Ann will be missed deeply by many, but we all know that our Heavenly angel will be watching over us, until we meet again.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 12 PM to 3 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will follow on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 3 PM held in the DeClue Chapel. Interment will be held in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
