Jesse Huitt

Jesse Edward Huitt of De Soto, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 30, 3013 at his residence, having reached the age of eighty four years and ten months. He was born on August 30, 1928 in Belgrade, Missouri, a son to the late William (Gladystone) Huitt and the late Bertie (Mae) Moyer Huitt.

On April 18, 1948 Jesse was united in marriage to Mary Warden and they shared sixty five years, two months and twelve days together.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife Mary "Liz" Huitt of De Soto, Missouri; son Eddie Joe Huitt and wife Toni of St. James, Missouri; four brothers Vernon Huitt and wife Eilene of Bonne Terre, Missouri; Robert Lynn Huitt and wife Marie of Dellwood, Missouri; Roy Wendall Huitt of Texas and Donald Ray Huitt of Oklahoma; three sisters Berniece Spencer of Bonne Terre, Missouri; Susan Cottrell of Bonne Terre, Missouri and Delores Drevler and husband Jack of Sedalia, Missouri; five grandchildren Jeffery Huitt, Stephanie Pace, Jennefer Corey, Wesley Nipper and Jessica Watkins; seven great grandchildren Brittney Huitt, Brandon Huitt, Josh Pace, Tyler O'Brian, Cassie O'Brian, Payton Corey, Aidan Watkins and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his step mother Mary (Sergerson) Huitt; daughter Rena (Huitt) Hill; one brother Linus Huitt; two sisters Tressie LaPorte and Norma Jean.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 3:30 to 8 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 11 AM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ron Barton officiating. Honoring Jesse as pallbearers were Wesley Nipper, Travis Corey, Tyler O'Brian, Roy Huitt, Alan Warden and Jeremy Warden.
