Jerry Wayne Jarvis of Stoney Point, Missouri passed away on August 30, 2015 at his residence having reached the age of seventy one years, three months, and fifteen days. He was born on May 15, 1944 to the late Elbert and Della Mae (Blackwell) Jarvis.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his beloved wife Ethel Jarvis of Potosi, Missouri; two sons: Jerry Len Jarvis and wife Tammy of Potosi, Missouri and Brandon Wayne Jarvis and Travis Ward of Fenton, Missouri; three daughters: Donna Mae Kennedy and husband Larry of Farmington, Missouri, Cindy Curry and husband Ron of Potosi, Peggy Weir and husband Howard of Bismarck, Missouri; five brothers: CD Jarvis and wife Pat of Potosi, Missouri, Merlin Jarvis and wife Barb of Bismarck, Missouri, Randall Jarvis and wife Donna of Black, Missouri, Ray Dean Jarvis and wife Beth of Irondale, Missouri, and Roger Jarvis and wife Kathy of Mineral Point, Missouri; five sisters: Lorene Douglas of Potosi, Missouri, Ruby Smith and husband Russell of Potosi, Missouri, Piney Wakefield of Park Hills, Missouri, Nadine Coffman and husband James of Cadet, Missouri, and Nancy Spurgeon of Illinois; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and relatives.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother Melvin Jarvis and three brothers-law: Johnny Douglas, Meredith Wakefield, and Dane Spurgeon.
Visitation for Jerry was held on Wednesday evening, September 2, 2015 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM and again on Thursday morning, September 3, 2015 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Funeral services began on Thursday morning at the DeClue Memorial Chapel at 11:00 AM with Bro. Howard Weir officiating.
Honoring Jerry by serving as his pallbearers were Travis Mendenhall, Kyle Weir, Justin Weir, Jordan Weir, Kaleb Weir, and Jacob Weir. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Josh Cantrell and Larry Turney.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Jarvis Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
