Jerry Arndt

September 30, 1939 — December 16, 2017

Jerry Arndt of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on September 30, 1939, a son to the late Cecil "Sam" Raymond Arndt and the late Edna Virginia (Briley) Arndt. On December 24, 1958, Jerry was united in marriage to Isabel Carlyon at the Hopewell Union Church and they shared fifty-nine years together.

Jerry entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached seventy-eight years of age.

Jerry will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife, Isabel Arndt of Mineral Point; six children: Zelda and Derrall Shelton of Sullivan, Paula and Will Trest of Mineral Point, Jerri Kay Sansoucie of Mineral Point; Michelle and Patrick Roland of Potosi, Jerry Arndt, Jr. of Mineral Point, and Carolyn Reiman of Mineral Point; two brothers: Mike and Linda Arndt of Mineral Point, and Randy and Beverly Arndt of Mineral Point; sister, Muriel Schoonover of Ironton; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; also surviving are many dear nieces and nephews.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents: Sam and Virginia Arndt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and May Carlyon; brother, Billy Arndt; grandson, Jacob Fauller; nephews: Billy Joe Arndt, Jr. and Ronnie Dewayne Carlyon; great-great niece, Oakley Rose Shumate; and his dear family friend, George Fox.

Visitation was Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Funeral Services were conducted Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Bro. Joe Jackson officiating. Serving as Casket Bearers were Jerry Arndt Jr., Stephen Fauller, Ethan Rolland, John Fauller, Tommy Reiman and Cameron Reiman. Serving as Honorary Casket Bearers were Darrell Shelton, Patrick Roland, Colten Roland and Jason Fauller.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Hopewell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of DeClue Funeral Home. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
