Jerri Holmes

Geraline "Jerri" Holmes of Herman, Missouri, formerly of Potosi, Missouri, was born on March 7, 1939 in Cadet, Missouri, a daughter of the late Isaac Benson and the late Effie Mae (Haggard) Benson. Jerri passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 having reached the age of eighty-one years, four months, and seven days.

On July 30, 1954, Jerri was united in marriage to Jesse Holmes and they shared nearly fifty-five years together.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her five children: Rhonda Berkbigler and husband Steve, Tammy Dunlap, Steve Holmes, Krista Holmes, and Pamela Sheets; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; four siblings: Ernie Benson and wife Sharon, Betty Link, Linda Miner and husband Clarence, Joyce Wilkerson and husband Jim; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Holmes; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Jerri was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse Holmes, son, John "Little John" Holmes; two sisters: Carol Miner and Norma Jean Yount.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 11 AM to 1 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will immediately follow beginning at 1 PM.

Interment will be held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
