Jerome Helms

Jerome Doyle Helms of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on July 13, 2009 at his residence having reached the age of sixty seven years and six months. He was born on January 13, 1942 at Good Water, Missouri, a son to the late Glen Helms and Zoe (Crocker) Helms.

On October 19, 1963, Jerome was united in marriage to Linda Hensen at Viburnum, Missouri and they shared forty five years together.

In addition to his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by a son Bryan Helms and a brother Paul Helms.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are wife Linda Helms of Potosi; son Jimmy Helms and wife Michelle of Potosi; three sisters Mary Mathis and husband Buster of Bixby; Glenda Hedgecoth and husband Don of Bixby; Charlene Civey and husband George of Bixby; four grandchildren Coby Helms, Ashley Helms, Timmy Helms and Savannah Helms; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 2 PM at the DeClue Family Funeral Home with George Civey officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Helms, Matthew Helms, Coby Helms, Timmy Helms, Floyd Dickerson and Lloyd Dickerson.

Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
