Jason Cresswell

July 3, 1977 — April 17, 2024

Rodney Jason Cresswell of Cadet, Missouri, was born on July 3, 1977 in Farmington, Missouri, a son to William Rodney Cresswell and Nancy Jo Peak. Jason, as he was known by his family and friends, departed this life on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the age of 46.

Those who remain to treasure his memory include his longtime companion and love of his life, Elizabeth “Liz” Eye and daughter, Annie Hatfield-Fleming; his grandson, Camden, who was Pop’s little buddy; his loving parents: William Rodney “Crybaby” Cresswell and Nancy and Randy Coleman; three brothers: Allen Cresswell (wife, Stacy); step brothers: Travis Coleman (wife, Amber) and Brandon Coleman (wife, KT); nephews and nieces: Grayson and Lily Cresswell, Alex (Cody) Fisher, Ophelia Fisher, Addyson and Maylee Coleman, Scott and Michelle; special cousins: Craig Cresswell, Brian Cresswell, Shana Vandergriff, Eric Vandergriff Larry Dale Cresswell, Donna Sue Cresswell, Sherrie Cresswell Eye and Breanna. Jason also leaves behind so many dear friends who he enjoyed playing music with at the KC Hall and the “Boom-Boom Room”.

Jason was preceded in death by his precious grandmother, Ida (Gene) Cresswell and cousin-in-law, Lana Cresswell; four special uncles: Gary, Joe, Jeff and Jimmy Cresswell; and special aunt, Janet Vandergriff.

Jason was owner and operator of Cresswell Trucking later known as Crybaby Trucking. Jason enjoyed talking on the CB to other truckers. Some of his favorite times were spent going on trips with Liz, listening and playing music and dancing. Jason adored his time going fishing with Camden, playing ball, playing at the park, going to the stock car races with his dad, his brother and his nephew, Grayson, taking four-wheeler rides. Family meant the world to him and he always loved playing with nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at DeClue Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm and will resume on Saturday, April 20th from 9 am until the time of Jason’s Funeral Service at 11 am. Pastor John Jones will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
