Jason Carter

November 7, 1980 — July 21, 2017

Jason Scott Carter of Potosi, Missouri was born on November 7, 1980 in Potosi, a son to Daniel Carter and Wanda Dicus. Jason entered eternal rest on Friday, July 21, 2017 having reached the age of thirty-six years, eight months and fourteen days.

Jason will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his son, Caleb Scott Carter of Potosi; father, Daniel Carter and special friend Linda Crocker of Potosi; mother, Wanda Revelle and husband Jim of Potosi; sister, Misty Strauser and husband Don II of Potosi; step brother, Jimmy Revelle and wife Carrie of Womack, Missouri; three step sisters: Ladonna Duncan and husband Mike of Potosi; Sabrina Revelle of Union, Missouri; Bridgett Bourisaw and husband Jared of Potosi; step grandparents: Henry and Geraldine Johnson of Potosi; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a few very close friends that Jason cherished.

Jason was preceded in death by his step mother, Vicki Carter; paternal grandparents: Floyd and Mary Carter; maternal grandparents: Johnnie and Mary Dicus; two uncles: James Dicus and Francis Carter and aunt Debbie Dicus.

Jason’s greatest joy in life was his son Caleb. He enjoyed off roading in his jeep, hunting and telling tall tales with his friends.

The family received friends at the DeClue Funeral Home on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

A Funeral Service was conducted on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Sharron Glore officiating. Interment and final prayers were held at the Palmer Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri. Honoring Jason by serving as Pallbearers were Eddie Carter, Bruce Carter, Don Strauser II, Woody Jaycox, Danny Gilliam and Marvin Dicus.

DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the arrangements and services for Jason during this time of remembrance.
