Janet Lynn Glasener of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, departed this life on January 24, 2006 at her residence, having reached the age of 56 years, 8 months and 13 days. She was born on May 12, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Loretta (Brickey) Essmyer and the late Don H. Essmyer.
Janet was united in marriage to Don Glasener in St. Louis, Missouri on
September 28, 1990. She took particular joy in time spent with her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was an Accountant at the U.S. Bank in St. Louis.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband, Don Glasener of
Bellefontaine Neighbors, MO; her mother, Loretta Essmyer of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri; her grandmother, May Brickey of Potosi, Missouri; her sister, Karen Harms of San Francisco, California; her brother, Kevin D. Essmyer of St. Paul, Missouri; her step children, Thena Boeck and John Glasener; grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Visitation was held at Stygar Funeral Home in St. Louis on January 26 and at Britton Chapel in Potosi on January 27. Funeral services were conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Britton Chapel with Rev. Bill Birch, pastor of New Providence Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Ken Vogl, Kevin M. Essmyer, Don J. Essmyer, Jeremiah Essmyer, Ben Wishmeyer and Bob Andrews.
Interment was in the New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi,MO.
