James Perry Rodgers of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was born on September 3, 1949, in St Louis, Missouri, a son of the late William Henry Rodgers and Mary Catherine (Mahoney) Rodgers. James passed away on April 17, 2024, having reached the age of 74.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his children: Jason (Jennifer) Rodgers, Renee (Brian) Watts; grandchildren: Justin Rodgers, Noah Jackson, Alexander (Victoria) Watts, and Ashleigh Watts; great-grandson, Waylon Watts; siblings: William “Bill” (Sharon) Rodgers, Wayne (Pam) Rodgers, Ralph E. (Darlene A.) Rodgers, Perry (Dawn) Rodgers, and Deborah (Dave) Holmes. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Holland; siblings: Gerald Rodgers, Mary Beth Braun, and Cynthia Carey.
A Graveside Service will be Monday, April 22, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Patton Cemetery, where he will also receive military honors from the United States Army. Pastor John Jones will officiate his service.
