James Lahmann

James Russell Lahmann of Farmington, Missouri departed this life on January 16, 2007 the Parkland Health Center at Bonne Terre, Missouri, having reached the age of 47 years, 7 months and 25 days. He was born at Farmington, Missouri on May 22, 1959 to Frances (Volner) Lahmann and Leonard Russell Lahmann.

He was a loving and devoted son, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family and friends. He always loved to go fishing or bowling, and was a long time member of the Desloge Eagles.

Jim attended three years of school at Shirley, Missouri and finished school at Potosi, graduating in 1977. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy and after coming home worked in construction. Jim always had a smile ready and a willingness to help anyone in any way.

Jim accepted Christ as his Saviour at the early age of 10 years old and was baptized and a member of Brazil Baptist Church, later transferring to White Oak Grove.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar and Alice Lahmann and Herbert and Cletta Volner; a half-brother, Charles Lahmann; uncles, Virgil Lahmann, Earl Lahmann and wife Rose, Herbert Marler, Edward Volner and Carl Saunders; aunts, Alberta Doss and Judy Lahmann.

He is survived by his father, Russell Lahmann and step-mother, Betty of Potosi; his mother, Frances Cooper and step-father, Bud of Potosi; three daughters, Tiffany Strickland of Farmington, Sonya Lahmann of St. Louis, Kayla Lahmann of Bonne Terre; one son, Brandon Lahmann of Bonne Terre; a sister, Carol Jean Bryson and husband Bill of Dublin, CA; two grandchildren, Abigail and Randall; nieces; nephews; cousins, co-workers and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Bill Bryson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Eckhoff, Todd Orth, Billy Ray Dickerson, Lester Brooks, Alan Smith and Art Stegall.

Interment and final prayers were held at White Oak Grove Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
