James "Jim" Wright

James Harry Wright, also known to family and friends as Jim, was born on February 14, 1950, in Potosi, Missouri, a son of the late Charles Wright and Hattie (LaChance) Wright. Jim passed away on December 11, 2021, having reached the age of seventy-one years, nine months, and twenty-seven days.

On December 27, 1969, Jim united in marriage to Judith Watson at Potosi First Assembly Church, and they spent nearly fifty-two years together.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Wright; sons: Kevin Wright, Jason (Jessica) Wright, Tim (Alisia) Wright; twelve grandchildren: Candice (John) Brown, Keisha (Logan) Tucker, Olivia Wright, Gracey Wright, Gavin (Peyton) Wright, Ethan Wright, Payton Wright, Jesse Wright, Aaron Wright, Seth Wright, Ava Wright, and Walker Wright; five great-grandchildren: Ryder, Urijah, Timber, Charlotte, and Easton; sister, Beverly Wright-Skaggs and friend Tracy Edgar; special friend, Judy Mattingly; and nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hattie Wright.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. A time of visitation will continue from 9-11am on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 11 am with Bro. Brad Asher officiating, assisted by Bro. David Skaggs. Interment will follow at New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi.
