James Haworth

James Raymond Haworth of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 28, 2013 at the St. Lukes Hospital having reached the age of sixty one years, one month and eleven days. He was born on July 17, 1952 in Litchfiled, Illinois a son to the late Ray Haworth and Ruth (Schultz) Haworth.

On July 15, 1978, James was united in marriage to Lois Moses and they shared thirty five years together.

James was a member of the Potosi United Methodist Church, United Methodist men's club and the church choir.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife of thirty five years Lois Haworth of Potosi; daughter Meridee Haworth of Potosi; mother in law Dollie Moses of Carthage; aunt Alvenia Thomas and husband Bill of Bland, Missouri; uncle Carl Haworth and wife Bennie of Bethalto, Illinois; sister Peggy Calvin of Cottage Hills, Illinois; brother Bob Haworth and wife Fern of Desloge; three sisters in law Karen Gillam and husband Jack of Carthage, Lesa Villmer and husband Tom of Farmington, Janice Weiss of Bismarck; special niece Natalie Gillam of Carthage; life time friend Billy Joe Martin of Bonne Terre; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his father in law Gilbert Moses and two brothers in law Ronnie Moses and Kenny Calvin.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 2 PM at the Potosi United Methodist Church with Elder Leonard Compton officiating and Pastor Judy Jeffrey assisting. Serving as pallbearers were Jack Gillam, Billy Joe Martin, Tom Villmer, Bobby Haworth, Steve Tatman, Dean Yates and Kermit Schrum. Honorary pallbearers were Doyle Beck, Nathan Allen, Jordan Villmer, Nick Weiss and Ronnie Nixon.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Lost Creek Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
