James Grant

James S. Grant of Steelville, Missouri departed this life on July 2, 2014 at his residence having reached the age of sixty eight years, two months and fifteen days. He was born on April 17, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri a son to the late Charles F. Grant and Marjorie (Stephens) Grant.
James served in the United States Marines.
James is survived by his dear friend Sally Elder of Steelville; son Dr. Cole Peck of Jonesboro, Arkansas; sister Sarah Grant of St. Louis; three grandchildren; numerous cousins, relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating and full military honors presented by the United States Marines and Local VFW Post #6996. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Harper, Dave Norvell, James Siebert, Darwin Dupuis, Jack Seibert and Courtney G. Jones.
Interment and final prayers were held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirkwood. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
