James French

James Dickerson French, also known by family and friends as "JD", was born on January 22, 1928 in Cantwell, Missouri, a son to the late LaRoy French and Ethel (Dickerson) French. On October 29, 1949, JD was united in marriage to Yvonne Devine and they shared 71 years together. JD passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2023, having reached 95 years of age.

Those who remain to treasure his memory include his daughter, Tena French Humphreys (husband, John); son, Roy French (wife, Judy); grandchildren: Cliff Henry (wife, Stephanie), JD French (wife, Shannon), and Brooke Sullivan (husband, Bryan); great-grandchildren: Kelton, Arthur Paul, Stephen, Isaac, David, Parker, Kahlan, Avery and Rowan; one great-great grandson, Southern. Also surviving are many dear extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, JD was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Yvonne French on September 27, 2020; brother, Glenwood French; and sister, Janet Farrar.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, July 26 2023, beginning at 9:00 am. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am at DeClue Funeral Home, with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at the St. Francois Memorial Park in Desloge, Missouri.
