James Daniel Cain, Sr. of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on February 28, 1944 in Washington County, a son to the late Fred Cain and the late Margaret Ann (Shipley) Cain. James entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at his residence having reached seventy-five years of age.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his seven siblings: Roseanne Torwegge, Goldie Boyer, Lindell Cain, Virgil Cain, Donald Cain, Kenny Dale Cain, and Billy Joe Cain; and many other relatives.
James will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his wife, Florence (Skaggs) Cain; five children: Vickie Wooley, Raymond (Genia) Cain, Sharon (David) Stieben, James (Dorotha) Cain, Jr., and Donna (Anthony) Zavattieri; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Gene Cain and Maime Cain; niece, Joyce Sampson; also surviving are many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
A funeral service to honor James will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.
