James Belfield

James Alvin Belfield of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on April 11, 2011 at his residence having reached the age of eighty two years, seven months and twenty nine days. He was born on August 13, 1928 at Leadwood, Missouri a son to the late Clyde Belfield and Gertrude (White) Belfield.

On July 7, 1946, James was united in marriage to Verna Kirby and they shared sixty four years together.

James was a Charter Member of the First Assembly of God Church for sixty five years.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Verna Belfield of Potosi; son Michael Belfield and wife Jonny of Farmington; daughter Deborah Belfield of Potosi; granddaughter Amanda Belfield of Potosi; sister Pauline Portell of Zionsville, IN; two step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Gary Petty officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jack Allen, Wendell Allen, Gary Waller, Charles Belfield, Randy Portell and Brent Belfield.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
