James Aubuchon

June 4, 1944 — May 3, 2024

James Mark Aubuchon, also known by family and friends as Jim, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 79. He was born on June 4, 1944 in Cadet, Missouri, a son to the late Chad and Mary Ellen (Dearing) Aubuchon. Jim was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sue Ann Skaggs on February 26, 1966 in Leadwood, Missouri, and two children were born to this union, Kellie and Greg.

Jim was a hard worker throughout his life. He was the owner and operator of Jim’s Excavating from 1977 until 1992. In addition to his successful excavating business, Jim was talented in many areas, including carpentry work. He was a man of faith. Jim loved the Lord with all of his heart and was never ashamed to share his faith. Jim was a collector of old classic cars as well as guns. In Jim’s down time, one could usually find him relaxing watching Fox News channel or a great Western on INSP channel. Above all, Jim was a devoted husband, dad, and grandpa. He will be so dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Sue Ann Aubuchon; daughter, Kellie Eye (husband, Kelly); son, Greg Aubuchon (wife, Joanna); four grandchildren: Olivia Thebeau, Andrew Farris (wife, Logan), Logan Aubuchon, and Mitchell Aubuchon; three great grandchildren: Brayden, Grant, and Bryor; two siblings: Denny Aubuchon (wife, Francois), Glenda Arnold (husband, Gaylon); In-Laws: Chet Wheeler, Denny and Donna Skaggs and Kenny and Shirley Skaggs. Jim also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in passing by his step grandson, Jake Eye; nine siblings: Jean Coleman, Joan Young, Doris Boyer, Elaine Aubuchon, Francis Aubuchon, Kenny Aubuchon, Eilleen Finley, Margaret Wheeler, and Leon Aubuchon; as well as many other dear relatives.
